Ja Mensch, ihr amüsiert euch ja auch bestens ohne mich. Klasse. Heute habe ich den zweiten Teil von Richard’s Stellungnahme zum „Hamburger Problem“ für euch, viel Spaß beim lesen.

By Richard Plumb

The question for the supporters of Hamburg Football Club (HSV) is not what they do next, the question that must ge faced and answered is how and why the current crisis allowed to develop.

Problems rarely start on the field, the problems off the field are simply reflected on the field an in the approach and attitude of the players.

How long can management blame the predecessor for the clubs problems. True the previous administrationmay have made mistakes but it es the answaer to the problems that define the performance of the current management.

Have they taken the actions necessary to ensure the growth and development of the club ?

Cutting costs by selling your best players is short term thinking. What actions have they taken to safe the financial resources available to the club ? Have they implemented youth development programs, have they sought players on loan, have they sought extra sponsorship, have they strengthened the technical and coaching staff ?

From Australia I can not answer thes questions but you, the supporters and members of the HSV are in the perfect position. You are also in the perfect position to do something about the performance of the board if you are dissatisfied.

I understand you have an Annual General Meeting in January where elections are held and changes to the constitution and structure of manangement.

How many of you will stand up and be counted ?

How many will convince others to join them at this meeting ?

What question do you want to answered on their current performance, what are their future plans, are there alternatives available, is the current structure the most suitable in the second decade of the 21st century ?

HSV is owned by the membership but it seems too many rely on too few to make their feelings and dissatisfactions known.

If this situation continues and you fail to follow your heart, to take up arms against the wrong and to show the courage and conviction necessary to force change you have no one to blame but yourselves.

DO NOT LET THIS HAPPEN !!!

Your club has a proud history. Make sure that its future is equally proud and know that you played your part.
